Hazel K. Goodman, age 94 of Abbeville, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 in the Taylor Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 11th in the Siloam Baptist Church.Reverend Tommy Baker and Reverend Jim Faircloth will officiate. Harry Goodman will present a eulogy. Interment will be in the family plot in the Siloam Cemetery.If the weather does not permit the committal service at the cemetery, it will be held in the church.Visitation will follow the service in the church social hall. Mrs. Goodman was born on August 22, 1919 in Abbeville.She was daughter of the late James Henry Keene and Faithey Turner Keene.She was a retired Paraprofessional with the Wilcox County Board of Education and was a member of the Siloam Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Goodman. Survivors include:sons-Harry (Gail) Goodman of Abbeville and Huck (Robin) Greene of Pitts, daughters-Jackie Roberts of Centerville and Lisa (George) Tomberlin of Lenox, 5-grandchildren-Kim Molton, Tracy Petersen, Gala Bloodworth, Holly Howell and Sonja Lister, 14-great-grandchildren and 6-great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be: Brett Reid, Carter Greene, Chadd Jones,Drew Howell, Cason Bloodworth, Jake Howell and Chase Petersen.Residents of Shady Pines will sit as an honorary group. Music will be provided by Charlotte Rustin, Cody Greene, Holly Howell, Lindsay Bloodworth, Drew Howell and the congregation.Selections will be:“This Is Just What Heaven Means To Me”, “The Old Rugged Cross Made the Difference”, “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace”. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Siloam Baptist Church, C/O Elaine Fisher, 8143 Owensboro Rd., Abbeville, Ga. 31001 or the charity of choice. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
