Harold E. Willingham, Jr. age 69 of Abbeville, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in the Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 15th in the Pitts United Methodist Church.Reverend Nancylee Cater will officiate.Visitation will be one hour before the service from 1-2 PM in the church. Mr. Willingham was born on December 17, 1944 in Americus, Ga.He was son of the late Harold E. Willingham and Juanita Warren Willingham.He was a retired potato producer with Frito Lay and had served several companies as an insurance agent.He attended Pitts United Methodist Church and graduated from Pitts High School.He attended ABACand afterwards joined the Navy where he served his country with honor.He worked with Sherwin-Williams and attended Georgia State University.He was preceded in death by a brother, Andy Willingham. Survivors include:son-Scot (Amy) Willingham of Woodstock, daughter-Samantha Willingham of Kennesaw, sister-Barbara Ann(Johnny) Coleman of Cordele,brother-Ricky (Cindy) Willingham of Abbeville, grandchildren-Cassidy Whisenant, Katelin, Emma and Zachary Willingham. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Pitts United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 223, Pitts, Ga.31072 Music will be provided by Delano Braziel. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangments.
