Harold Rudolph Braziel, 96, entered into rest on Friday, November 9th, 2018. Harold was born on February 14, 1922 in Wilcox County, Georgia to the late Mary Cleo Standridge and Tip Braziel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Visitation will be one hour before the service from 1-2 PM in the funeral home. Reverend Eric Smith will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery. Mr. Braziel tended his family farm and other neighboring farms until 1951. In 1951, Harold moved to Washington, D.C. where he worked as a produce manager for Safeway until retiring in 1984.Upon retirement, Harold and his wife, Willie Mae, moved to Rebecca, Georgia, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading westerns, watching history programs, traveling to the north Georgia mountains and spending time with his nephew, Melvin Wilkerson. He was a member of the Rebecca Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and a greeter. He enjoyed the fellowship he shared with the men in Brotherhood and served as treasurer of the group. His loving wife, Willie Mae Braziel, son, Harold Rudolph Braziel Jr., sisters Lonelle Bennett, Marie Barker, brothers Carleton Braziel and Billy Braziel preceded him in death. His memory will be forever treasured by his son, David Braziel (Susan) of Milton, DE and daughter, Jennifer Pantos (Michael) of Seymour, TN, grandchildren Mindy Morris of Seymour, TN, Jonathan Price of Myrtle Beach, SC and Taylor Pantos of Quinton, VA.
