Harlan Gibbs, age 65 of Rochelle, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 27th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend Rodney Gibbs and Reverend Wayne Martin will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Cannonville Cemetery. Mr. Gibbs was born on April 21, 1949 in Abbeville.He was son of the late Ernest Gibbs and Kate Helms Gibbs.He was a truck driver for Clary Logging Co. in Cordele and was a member of the Pitts Church of God. Survivors include:sons-David Gibbs of Rochelle and Robert Williams of Rochelle, daughters-Teresa Stout of Cobb, DeDe Gibbs of Rochelle and Holly Howerton of Pineview, brothers-Randy Gibbs of Abbeville, Jerry Gibbs of Abbeville, Rodney Gibbs of Vidalia, Terry Gibbs of Abbeville and Michael Gibbs of Abbeville, sisters-Carol Arnette of Rochelle and Glenda Lewis of Rochelle, 12-grandchildren and 2-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturday, April 26th in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be:Active-Stephen Lewis, David Snellgrove, Jr., Anthony Gibbs, James White, Jackie Collier and Steven Stout.Honorary will be:Gary Dykes, John Smith, George Parker, Jimmy Gibbs, Larry Minchew and Jimmy McKinney. Music will be provided by Johnny Brown and Robin Gibbs. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
