Gregory Bennett Cornwell

Gregory  “Greg” Bennett Cornwell, age 63 of Abbeville, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024 at his residence. Greg was born on July 9, 1960 in Sarasota, Fl. to the late Samuel Cornwell, Jr and Barbara Bruens West.

Greg was employed with Cannon Farms.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed bass fishing.  He had an appreciation for all things nature.  He loved animals and cherished his beloved pets, Buddy and Benny.  Greg was also a "Mr. Fix It" and was always willing to help others.

He is survived by his daughter-Rachel Spivey (James); sons-Tyler Cornwell (Taylor) and Trenton Cornwell; companion of 11 years, Jamie McGlamry; stepmother-Marsha Johnson (Fred); brother-Samuel Cornwell III (Pam); sisters-Tamara Brunner (Frank), Sarah Barfield (Scott), Elizabeth Biggins, Lila Hattaway (Tim), and Marian Cornwell; grandchildren-Easton Cornwell, Waylon Spivey, Leighton Spivey, Asher Cornwell, and Blakelynn Cornwell; and loved ones-Chad, Hailey, & Reed Davis and Mama Beth.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 20th at 11:00 AM in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle, GA.  Visitation will also be there from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a favorite charity.
