Grace Daniel Attaway

Grace Daniel Attaway, age 88 of Perry, formerly of Pitts, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in the Perry Hospital.Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 13th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Visitation will be one hour before the service in the chapel from 10-11:00 AM.Reverend Bill Kent and Reverend David Clark will officiate.Interment will be Wednesday, June 17th in the family plot in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Joliet, IL. Mrs. Attaway was born on May 2, 1927 in Abbeville.She was daughter of the late James Elder and Ledia McBryant Elder.She was a member of the Pitts Baptist Church.She received her RN from Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, retiring from St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL. in 1987.Her children extend their gratitude to Dr. Soundappan, the staff of Summerhill Senior Community, and the nursing staff of Perry Hospital for caring for their Mother with compassion and respect.She is preceded in death by an infant brother, sister-Sara Jane Brown, husband-W. H. Daniel in 1988 and husband-Jesse Attaway in 2013. Survivors include:sons-Richard (Patricia) Daniel of Plainfield and Robert (Diane) Daniel of Gardner, daughter-Pamela (Stephen) Mott of Joliet, IL., brother-Harvey and sister-in-law and best friend Carolyn Elder of Warner Robins who were devoted to Grace these past several years, sister-Mary (Billy) Bissette of Pitts, grandson-Mark Daniel of Plainfield and great-granddaughter-Hannah Sweitzer of Gardner and several nieces and nephews. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
