Glennette Braden

February 17, 1943 — March 24, 2024

Rose Glennette Braden, born February 17, 1943 in Rochelle, Georgia, passed away on March 24, 2024 at 4:18 PM at her residence.

She was loving, kind and generous in all ways. She was the heart of her family and will be profoundly missed.  Her brightest joys were spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She enjoyed a lifelong love of gardening and watching her flowers bloom.  She played piano, loved music and dancing throughout her life. She enjoyed cooking and planning family gatherings.  Glennette also enjoyed traveling to the beach and loved fishing.

She was a graduate of Pineview High School where she played basketball and made many life long friends. She was a member of Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Braden with whom she celebrated 61 years of marriage on March 24, 2024.  Glennette is also survived by her three daughters, Tonya Cooper, Tifton, Ga., Robin Braden , Rochelle, Ga. and Holli Braden, Calhoun, Ga.

She is also survived by four grandchildren; Noelle McCurdy, Tifton, Ga., Braden McCurdy, Rochelle, Ga., Statham Sapp (Lindsay), Rochelle, Ga., Langston Sapp (Sam), Warner Robins, Ga., four great-grandchildren; Linley Rose McCurdy, Jon Statham Sapp, Langston Jo Sapp, and Weylon Coda Sapp.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Audis Hawkins and Pearl Adams McDuffie, brothers, John A. McDuffie and James Doster McDuffie, sisters, Judy Nell Allen and Daisy Ruth McDuffie, and son-in-law, Wayne Cooper.

A service will be held at Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church, Rochelle, Ga. on March 29, 2024 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Jay Moore officiating.  The family will greet friends beginning at 3:00 PM.  Interment will follow at the Christian Hill Cemetery.  The family expresses a special thanks to Georgia Hospice for their care.
