Gladys M. Sercer, age 83 of Rochelle, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 8th in the Rochelle United MethodistChurch.Reverend Nancylee Cater, Reverend Bill Kent and Reverend Kenny Croft will officiate. Interment will be in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery. Mrs. Sercer was born on May 30, 1932 in Rochelle, Ga.She was daughter of the late Willie Leonard Martin and Ottis Lashley Martin.From 1967 to 1983 she was Manager of Amoco Oil Soil Lab which served 4 states in the southeast.She was a homemaker and member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was attending Rochelle United Methodist Church. Survivors include:husband-Carl Sercer of Rochelle, sons-Carl (Sarah) Sercer, Jr. of Rochelle and Jerry (Chris) Sercer of Rochelle, 4-grandchildren and 8-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturday in the funeral home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Prelude and postlude will be played by Patricia Bennett.Chris Sercer will sing 3 selections.
