George R. Sutton

George R. Sutton, age 79 of Rochelle, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010 in Cordele.Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 24 in the Morningside Cemetery. Reverend Jim Wiley and Reverend Talmadge Wilcox will officiate.Friends may visit with family after the graveside service. Mr. Sutton was born on February 28, 1931 in Rochelle.He was son of the late Thurman Sutton and Gussie Maddox Sutton.He was a retired Civil Service Employee from Robins Air Force Base.He attended ABAC College in Tifton and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rochelle.He was a member of the American Legion Post #71 and the Kolomoki Society.He served his country with honor during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. Survivors include:brothers-James D. Sutton and Ralph T. Sutton both of Rochelle and Clifford A. Sutton of Bonaire, sister-Clarice Morrison of Rochelle and several nieces and nephews. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
