George Satterfield, age 62 of 703 McBryant Road, Pitts passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014at 435 Pleasant Hill Road in Vienna.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday October 8, 2014 in the M. G. FrazierMemorialChapelof Frazier and Son Funeral Home. Reverend Jody McGinnisandReverend Quillian Barfield will officiate. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. – 2. P.m. in the Chapel before the service.Interment will be in the family plot in the New Bethel Cemetery in Pitts. Mr.Satterfield was born on October 27, 1951in Vienna, Georgia.He was son of the late Hubert Satterfield and Annie Gibbs Satterfield.He lived his entire life in Wilcox County. He enjoyed his work and family. Survivors include: wife-Ellen Satterfield of Pitts, son-Randall (Melissa) Satterfield of Pitts, daughters-Erin Satterfield of Pitts, Kristy (Oliver) Barksdale of N.C., grandchildren-Junior and Mason Satterfield, Kaylee and Jesse Barksdale, Nate Futch and Brittany Flinchum. Pallbearersare:Trey McBryant, Trey Pittman, Barron Peebles, Jim Pittman, Mel Powell, Steven Kennedy and Leon Arant. Prelude and postlude will beplayed by RhondaHenderson .ChrisSercer will sing “Stroll Over Heaven”, “Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “Amazing Grace”. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
