George E. Crenshaw, Age 90, of 2540 Hwy. 280 E. Pitts, died Monday, February 2, 2015 in the Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehab. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 4 at the Union Baptist Church.Interment will be in the family plot in the Union Cemetery with full Military Rites. Mr. Crenshaw was born on October 5, 1924 in Pitts.He was son of the late Tennie Grover Crenshaw and Mary Mitchell Crenshaw. He was a retired self-employed Electrical Contractor. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.He was a member of the Baptist men and the church choir and former member of the Union Cemetery Committee. He was volunteer coordinator for the Georgia Baptist Builders and Coordinator forthe Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief. He was a member of the Wilcox County American Legion Post #71 and the DAV. He served his country with honor in the United States Army during World War II.He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Survivors include: wife, Hilda M. Crenshaw,Pitts, son, Al (Janis) Crenshaw, Pitts, daughters, Patricia (Darfus) Holcomb, Pitts and Donna (Mike) Keeler, Irwinville,sister,Voncile Mayo, Cordele , grandchildren, Phillip (Holly) Crenshaw, Paul (Susan) Crenshaw, Jessica (Brian) Taylor, Joanna(Brian) Richardson, Ginger (Todd) Gillert, Chuck Musselwhite, Jarrod Musselwhite and 17 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, February 4 in the church. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements
