Garnett "Ricky" Elrod

Garnett "Ricky" Elrod, of Abbeville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the age of 66.  Ricky was born on January 23, 1957 in Hawkinsville, Georgia.  Ricky is predeceased by his parents, Garnett and Ethel Edna King Elrod.   He is survived by his partner, Debbie; and his brothers Eddie (Patti) Elrod, Mark Elrod and Greg Elrod; in addition to several grandchildren.

Ricky was a 1975 Mary Persons High School graduate where he was an outstanding football player and an active member of the Beta Club.  Throughout his life, he enjoyed working with his sawmill, fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.  Ricky will be best remembered for his kind and giving nature.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 8, 2023 at Cannonville Cemetery in Abbeville Georgia with Reverend David Clark providing services.
