Frank Dickey

Frank Dickey, age 81 of 6649 Christian Hill Rd., Rochelle, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 in the Medical Center Navicent Health in Macon.Avisitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM in the Frazier and Son Funeral Home. Mr. Dickey was born on April 29, 1933 in Cross City, Florida.He was son of the late Joseph Edward Dickey and Essie Mae Hart Dickey.He was retired from Forestry with Thompson Hardwood and graduated as a Ranger from the University of Florida.He was a member of the Black Pond Baptist Church in Middleburg, Florida and was an avid fisherman and hunter.He served his country with honor in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.He is preceded in death by a son-Joseph Hart “Joey” Dickey, a brother-Wayne Dickey and a sister-Diane Dickey. Survivors include:wife-Patricia Dickey of Rochelle, daughter-Gail (Shannon) Walls of Abbeville, brother-George Dickey of Crestview, Florida, granddaughter-Nicole “Nikki” Rhodes of Pineview, grandson-Donovan Dickey of Hazelhurst, and a great-grandson-Chase Parks of Pineview. The family request instead of flowers that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
