Essie Louvie Collins

Essie L. “Peggy” Collins, age 94 of Rochelle, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 in the Pineview Health Care Center.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 13, 2010 in the Pleasant View Baptist Church.Rev. Ron Brooks will officiate.Interment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Miss Collins was born on September 5, 1915 in Wilcox County.She was daughter of the late Paul W. Collins and Mary Warren Collins. She was a retired Dietician and Housemother at Children’s Methodist Home. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by brothers, Curtis Davidson and Aubin Collins, sisters, Eula Griffin, Lydia Pilkinton, Doris Rhodes, Nina Holliday, Ellie Benson and Nettie Cason. Survivors include:sister-Lessie Crumley of Pineview and niece and caregiver-Marian Malaier of Athens. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday, January 12 at the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
