Emmalene H. Thompson, age 95 of Pitts, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 in the Cordele Health and Rehab.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, October 20th in the Pleasant View Baptist Church.Visitation will be from 1:30 PM-3:00 PM in the church. Reverend Jimmy Black and Reverend Danny Powers will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson was born on October 27, 1918 in Pitts.She was daughter of the late Thad Howell and Clede Powers Howell.She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church, the WMU and the Joy Sunday School Class and was a homemaker.She is preceded in death by-husband-Robert Q. Thompson, nieces and nephews-Martha Rhodes, Frances Nelson, Howell Nelson, Ruby Rhodes, Heyward Thompson, Richard Harvey, Jackie Gibbs, R. W. McClain, Gerald McClain, Bornell Gordon and Shirley McClain. Survivors include:nephews and nieces-E. T. Howell of Pitts, Mac Howell of Pitts, Wendell Howell of Rochelle, Jeannine Reynolds of Pitts, Janie Terry of Pitts, Jean Marie Gregory of Vienna, Cathy Willis of Pitts, Helen Kittrell of Tallahassee, Florida, Ken Howell of Niceville, Florida, Kay Carpenter of Monticello, Florida, Tharpe Rhodes of Pineview, Shelby Bloodworth of Pineview, Janice Cooke of Cordele, Freddy Thompson of Pitts, Bobby Harvey of Albany and Geneva Nobles of Pitts. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
