Elizabeth Phillips

Elizabeth Ann Phillips, age 79, of Pitts, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, in the Blackshear Retirement Villa, Cordele, Georgia.She was a lifelong resident of Wilcox County and loved to garden.She was a retired seamstress with the Cordele Uniform Co. and a member of Union Baptist Church, and the Ladies Sunday School Class. Elizabeth was born April 3, 1942, in Rochelle, to the late Edker and Vera Turk Dunagan.She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Phillips; and her siblings, Richard Dunagan, Vera Mae Hillard, Geraldine Meredith, and Edgar Dunagan.Survivors include her sons, Dennis Phillips (Rose), Russell Phillips (Jennifer), and Terry Phillips (Angie); her brother, Robert Dunagan; her sister, Clara Lanier; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 30th, at 3:00 p.m. in Union Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Land officiating.Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.Visitation will be from 2:00 - 3:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Frazier & Son Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
