Elizabeth U. “Libby” Gibbs, age 83 of Rochelle, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 in the Magnolia Manor Nursing Center in Americus.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 12th in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.Reverend Mike Gibbs and Reverend David Clark will officiate.Visitation will be one hour before the service from 1-2 PM in the church.Interment will be in the family plot in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Gibbs was born on June 18, 1931 in Hephzibah, Ga.She was daughter of the late Thomas L. Ulm and Ida Mae Martin Ulm.She was retired Assistant City Clerk for the City of Rochelle .She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Horace E. “Jimmy” Gibbs in 2005. Survivors include:daughter-Vickie (David) Brown of Rochelle, grandchildren-Carrie Brown (Jake) Owens and Jacob Gibbs Brown and great-grandchildren-Jimmy Dover Owens and Libba Lee Owens. The family request donations be made to the Pleasant Grove Building Fund, P. O. Box 492, Rochelle, Ga. 31079. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
