Elena S. Barfield

Elena S. Barfield, 71, of Abbeville, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Crossview Care Center in Pineview.She was born in Pineview on August 20, 1945 to Roy and Marie Peavy Smith.She was the widow of the late Fred M. Barfield, a homemaker and a member of Abbeville Frist Baptist Church.She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Cook of Abbeville; three brothers, Jack Smith of Ft. Valley,Jerry Smith of Valdosta, and David Smith of Fitzgerald.She was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Dominy in 2015.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Stubbs Cemetery, Abbeville, with the Rev. Chuck Taylor officiating.Visitation will follow the graveside service at Stubbs Cemetery.In lieu of flowers please make donations to a favorite charity.Frazier and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
