Eldred Fitzgerald

Eldred Fitzgerald, age 84 of Rochelle, Owensboro Community, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014 at his residence.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 6th in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.Visitation will be one hour before the service from 1-2 PM at the cemetery. Reverend Tom Camp and Reverend Jim Wiley will officiate. Mr. Fitzgerald was born on November 24, 1929 in Rochelle, Owensboro Community.He was son of the late James Thomas Fitzgerald and Ethel Mae McWhorter Fitzgerald.He was a deacon and member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.He was a retired farmer and former bus driver with the Wilcox County School System.He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force.He was preceded in death by four brothers-Charles, Norman, Pete and Virgil Fitzgerald. Survivors include:wife-Inez Fitzgerald of Rochelle, daughters-Janet (Joe) Sercer of Rochelle and Glenda (Freddy) Brown of Rochelle and 3-grandchildren-Argent and Victoria Brown of Rochelle and Olivia Sercer of Rochelle. Pallbearers will be:Jason and Steven Smith, Dean and David Fitzgerald, Greg and Glenn Ledford, Keith Holliday and Doster Fitzgerald. Music will be rendered by Nancy Munden. Frazier and Son Funeral in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
