Dorothy Calhoun Shell, age 78 of Pitts, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011 in the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 2, in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend David Clark will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Pitts Cemetery. Mrs. Shell was born on June 6, 1933 in Fitzgerald, Ga.She was daughter of the late Bill Wilkerson and Matilda Stalls Wilkerson.She was a homemaker and member of the Christian Home Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Alva C. Shell, Jr. Survivors include:sons-Neil Calhoun of Cordele and Steve (Pam) Calhoun of Pineview, daughter-Rita (Alton) Bullington of Cordele, brother-L. C. Wilkerson of Fitzgerald, sisters-Faustine Stubbs of Rochelle and Lizzie Musselwhite of Warwick and 5-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday, August 1 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
