Donnie Gene Baker, Sr.

Donnie Gene Baker, Sr., age 55 of 1130 Crenshaw Rd., passed away Sunday, December 12th, 2010 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 16 in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend Talmadge Wilcox will officiate.Interment will follow in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery. Mr. Baker was born in Rochelle, Ga. on April 22, 1955.He was son of the late Arthur Baker and Virginia Louise Calhoun Baker.He was a self employed logger and was a member of the Kramer Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Baker. Survivors include:wife-Suzanne Baker of Pitts, sons-Donnie Gene (Nicole) Baker, Jr. of Abbeville and Richard (Randi) Baker of Pitts, daughter-Mistey Baker of Pitts, two grandchildren-Simon Baker and Ansley Baker, brothers-Nelton Ray Baker, Elvin A. Baker and Michael E. Baker all of Rochelle, Aldo H. Baker of Cordele and Arthur Lee Baker of Vienna, sisters-merilyn NeSmith of Dublin, Myra McCranie of Bonaire, Nettie Mae Baker, Cynthia M. Adkins, and Nellie Faye Baker all of Rochelle and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday, Dec. 15 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
