Donna Simmons

Donna Simmons, age 57 of Abbeville, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2016 in the Medical Center Navicent Care.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 15th in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.Reverend David Clark will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Simmons was born on February 10, 1959 in West Palm Beach, Florida.She was daughter of the late Aleatha GeraldineButler Densmore.She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith.She loved to do arts and crafts and enjoyed her animals and gardening.She was a high spirited and happy lady and loved her family, especially the grandchildren.She was known for cutting up and making jokes and was loved by all. She is preceded in death by her mother-Aleatha Geraldine Butler Densmore and a sister-Daphane Densmore. Survivors include:father-Max Densmore of Milledgeville, husband-Ray Simmons of Abbeville, daughters-Brandie (Shane) Jones of Abbeville, Dawn (Fiance-Robbie Martin) Knowlton of Buena Vista, Virginia and Seretha Hilton of Abbeville, brother-David (Danielle Diprova) Densmore of Denver, Colorado, sisters-Debbie (Ricky) Summers of Milledgeville, Deloris (Steve) Summers of Milledgeville and Darla Densmore of Gray, 7-grandchildren and 3-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be one hour before the service from 1-3 PM in the church. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
