Donna V. Pierce, age 72 of 110 Ridgecourt, Kathleen, Ga., passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in the Houston Medical Center.A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, January 11th in the Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Rochelle.Reverend Wayne Martin and Lucas Allison will officiate. Mrs. Pierce was born on November 4, 1940 in Griffin, Ga. She was daughter of the late James Dooley and Lula Lovelady Dooley.She attended Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church and was retired from Robins Air Force Base in Supply Maintenance and Supervision.She was preceded in death by a son, Sammy Lunsford, a sister, Reverend Patsy Allison and a brother, Douglas A. Dooley. Survivors include:son-Lawrence A. Barfield of Nevarro, Florida, daughter-Evelyn J.(Mike) Bowden of Macon, 11-grandchildren, 2-great-grandchildren and a special niece and caregiver, Deborah A. Jones of Kathleen. Prelude and postlude will be played by Nancy Sheffield.Cathy McMillan will sing “Serenated By Angels’, Lucas Allison, Joel and Ann Wood will sing “Beulah Land” and a CD by Doug Stone (Go Rest High On That Mountain) will be played. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
