Dolton Truitt Smith

Dolton Truitt Smith, age 35 of Douglas, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2009 in the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 1, 2009 in the First Baptist Church of Rochelle.Rev. Jim Wiley and Pastor Brian Gunningham will officiate.Interment will be in the Christian Hill Cemetery. Dolton was born on June 12, 1974 in Houston County.He was a carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his father, Tavis D. Smith in 2006. Survivors include:mother and step-father-Barbara and Walter Jackson of Rochelle, wife-Janet Rewis Smith of Douglas, step-daughter-Tiffany Ellis of Douglas, sister-Leigh Anne (Shane) Clements of Rochelle, and 2-nieces-Bailey and Haven Clements of Rochelle. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday, November 30, 2009 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
