Dennis L. Phillips

November 26, 1949 — September 15, 2023

Dennis L. Phillips, age 73, of Abbeville, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023, at his residence.  He was born November 26, 1949, in Turner County, to the late Noah Leroy Phillips and Ruby Estelle Brooks.

Dennis lived in Turner County from birth up until his junior year of high school.  Then moved to Wilcox County and finished his senior year, graduating in 1970.   After graduation, he married Donna F. Daniels, and moved to Norcross GA, where he worked for Gulf Oil for 4 years.  Then returned back to Wilcox County where he started working at Delco Remy in Fitzgerald GA, and from there he eventually retired from Delco/Delphi.

Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 sisters:  Pearl Payne and Dorothy Gibbs.

Survivors include a son, Jason Phillips (Rebecca); a daughter, Brandi Phillips Everson; 4 step-sons:  Robert Underwood, Lucas McFall (Brittany), Alex McFall and Cameron Johnston all of Abbeville; 2 brothers:  Arthur Phillips (Lana) of Sylva NC, and Buddy Phillips of Cumming GA; 1 sister, Barbara Keen of Ashburn GA; 1 great-grandson, 14 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 19th, at 11:00 a.m. in Stubbs Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Taylor officiating.

Frazier & Son Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
