Dennis Anthony Moore

Dennis Anthony Moore, age 72, of Rochelle, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in the Tift Regional Hospital, Tifton, Georgia. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rochelle, where he had served as a teacher and deacon. Dennis enjoyed singing and praising the Lord. Earlier in life he worked on the family farm and later retired from Robins Air Force Base after 25 years, due to health reasons. Before his health declined, he enjoyed hunting with his best friend, Cedric McCall, whenever he could. He was a caring and faithful husband, father, and grandfather, and was also a big Georgia Bulldog fan, and was so happy they won the National Championship.
Dennis was born April 28, 1949, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the late David A. Moore and Inez Oliver Moore. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Tim and Claude Moore. Survivors include his wife, Janice Payne Moore, and their children, Tim Moore (Lori), Rebecca Garrett (Jon), Mary Williamson (Chris), and Daniel Moore; his grandchildren, Marlee & Maggie Moore, Ryan, Braxton, & Bethany Garrett, and Sadee & Adalyn Williamson.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 5th, at 2:00 p.m. in Morningside Cemetery Rev. Richard Compton, Rev. Jay Moore, and Rev. Phil West officiating. A visitation will follow after the service at the gravesite.
