Delodus Bradford Sheffield

Delodus Bradford “Joe” Sheffield, of Chester, Ga., died Friday, January 3, 2025 after a long illness.  He was 78 years old and is survived by his children, Joseph Bryant (Lisa) Sheffield and Rhonda Lynn (Rob) Stull, and grandsons, Joseph and Jacob Shefield and Zac Stull.  He is also survived by his sisters, Rosen Miller (Larry), Dean Lieburn and Glenda Sheffield, as well as sister-in-law Ida Sheffield and many nieces and nephews.  Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Sheffield and 2-brothers, Sylvester and Cecil Sheffield and a sister, Monteen Stone.  He graduated from Wilcox County High School in 1964, and served in the U. S. Army from 1964 to 1967.  Joe was a disabled veteran, and he worked as a US Postal Service employee until his retirement.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 7, 2025 in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.  Visitation will be in the chapel after the service.  Reverend Danny Allen will officiate.  Interment will be private.
