Frazier and Son Funeral Home Obituary for:David "Bud" Payne David "Bud" Payne age 81 of 217 Walker Cemetery Rd., Rochelle passed away Monday, July 13, 2009 at his residence.Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 16, 2009 in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend David Clark and Reverend Hicks Brown officiated.Interment was in the Cedar Creek Cemetery. Mr. Payne was born on March 28, 1928 in Dooly County having lived all his life in Wilcox County.He was son of the late Clint TD Payne and Lucy Hancock Payne.He was a pulpwooder and a logger.He was of the Baptist Faith.He was preceded in death by a son, David Payne, in 1995. Survivors include:wife-Brenda Payne of Rochelle, daughter-Betty Sue Payne Nelson of TyTy, step-son-Kevin Dennard of Fitzgerald, step-daughters-Kathy Dennard of Cordele, Katrina Knight of Rochelle, and Melissa Miller of Abbeville, brothers-Charles Payne and Delma Payne both of Vienna and Walter Payne of Montezuma, 4-grandchildren-Michael Dennard, Kelsey Knight, Melina Nelson, and Keon West. Pallbearers were:Mitchell Dennard, Len Harvey, David Miller, Clint Payne, Wade Knight, Mark Brannen, and Mark Elrod. Rhonda Henderson played soft music before and after the service.Betty Sue and Ricky Nelson sang "Amazing Grace", a CD, "When I Get To Where I'm Going" was played, and Charles Fisher and Rhonda Henderson sang " Shall We Gather At The River". Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle was in charge of arrangements.
