David Walter Childs

David Childs, age 58 of Abbeville, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 at his residence.A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 11th in the Cedar Creek Cemetery.Reverend Johnny McDuffie will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Cedar Creek Cemetery. Mr. Childs was born on January 6, 1956 in Hawkinsville. He was son of Thomas Childs and the late Viola McWhorter Childsand was a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church.He was a Fork Lift Operator Supervisor with Tex-Trail Corporation. Survivors include:Wife-Joy Childs of Abbeville, father-Thomas Childs of Abbeville, brother-Roy Childs of Abbeville, sister-Ruth Ann (Johnny) Rhodes of Abbeville, nephew-Johnathan (Kristi) Rhodes of Abbeville, niece-Heather (Kevin) Hall of Abbeville, great-nephew-Koltson Hall of Abbeville and a sister-in-law-Janice (the late Bob) Scarborough of Abbeville. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, October 10th at the residence of Johnny and Ruth Ann Rhodes, 18600 US Hwy 129, Abbeville, Ga. 31001. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
