Cora L. Fountain

Cora L. Fountain, age 95 of Pitts, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 in Florida Hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 29th in the Tabernacle Baptist Church.Reverend Ralph Griffin will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Union Cemetery. Mrs. Fountain was born on December 25, 1919 in Pitts, Ga.She was daughter of the late Alfred Newell and Gussie Massey Newell.She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was the widow of the late William Rufus Fountain and she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcia Miller in 2010. Survivors include:son-Denny Fountain of Pitts, 2-grandchildren-Ricie Miller and Dennis Fountain and 2-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday, April 28th in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Randy Hardy, Daryl Hardy, Roger Hardy, Clifford Hardy, Mark Newell and Mickey Newell. Prelude and postlude will be played by Rhonda Henderson.Clay Oliver will sing “I’m Home”, “Victory In Jesus” and “Master’s Bouquet”. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
