Clara Spires

Clara Spires, age 62 of Abbeville, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 19th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend Bill Jones, Reverend Wayne Martin and Reverend Bobby Joe Ryals will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Bay Springs Cemetery in Rhine. Mrs. Spires was born on February 22, 1953 in McRae, Ga.She was daughter of the late Charlie Hilliard and Nan Jones Hilliard.She was a Bartender and had worked as a Seamstress at Ithaca and Roddenwear Manufacturing.She was a CNA at River Willows Nursing Home.She was a member at Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include:sons-Scotty (Candace) White of McRae-Helena, Mark (Sharon) White of Rochelle and Michael Spires of Abbeville, daughter-Marilyn (Chris Clauson) Pitts of Cordele, 15-grandchildren and 9-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturday, April 18th in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
