Christine Powell Clark

Christine Powell Clark, age 93 of Hampton, Ga., passed away Monday, March 22 in Piedmont-Fayette Community Hospital in Fayetteville, Ga.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 25, 2010 in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend David Clark and Reverend Jim Faircloth will officiate.Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery. Mrs. Clark was born on January 13, 1917 in Abbeville, Ga.She was daughter of the late Robert Jackson Powell and Bessie Eldridge Powell.She was a homemaker and retired from Eurb Plastics Company in Atlanta where she worked for many years. She was a member of Taliaferro Baptist Church in Savannah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerdine Clark and a son, Virgil Jackson Clark. Survivors include:daughter-Barbara Ann Clark Sapp of Fayetteville, sisters-Leila May Fuller of Abbeville and Thelma Putman of Warner Robins, grandchildren-Russell (Shellie) Sapp and Christi (Joe) Tucker. Visitation will be from 7-9 PM Wednesday, March 24 in the funeral home. The family may be contacted at the residence of Jane Heath at 9174 Hwy. 129, Abbeville, Ga. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
