Charlie Wilcox, age 76 of Abbeville, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 26th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Visitation will be one hour before the service from 10-11 AM in the chapel.Reverend Dan Lovett will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Antioch Cemetery. Mr. Wilcox was born on April 24, 1939 in Abbeville, Ga.He was son of the late Leroy Wilcox and Verlin Tomberlin Wilcox.He was a Supervisor with the Wilcox County Road Department and was a logger.He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.He is preceded in death by a brother, Durham Wilcox. Survivors include:wife-Virginia Wilcox of Abbeville, sons-Coty Jim Wilcox of Abbeville, Charlie Joe Wilcox of Abbeville and Jim Wilcox of Abbeville, daughters-Lisa Pool of Warner Robins, Billie Jo Kidd of Vienna, Regina Grimstead of Vienna and Roseanna Brannan of Vienna, 7-grandchildren and 1-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be:Gary Dykes, David Moore, Leroy Wilcox, Billy Joe Milling, Durham Wilcox, Thomas Wilcox, George Wilcox and Kenneth Williford. Prelude and postlude will be played by Glenn Fisher.Charles Fisher will sing “Stroll Over Heaven” and CD selections will be,“He Walked On Water” and “That’s My Job”.
