Charles O. Kelley

Charles O. Kelley, age 89 of 684 Hemlock Rd., Rochelle, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010 in the Tift Regional Medical Center.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 19thin the Rochelle United Methodist Church.Reverend Jim Faircloth will officiate.Interment will be in the Morningside Cemetery. Mr. Kelley was born on January 1, 1921 in Owensboro, Ga.He was son of the late Charles O. Kelley and Belle Gutherie Kelley.He was retired Civil Service employee from Robins Air Force Base in the electronics division and was a farmer.He was preceded in death by his wife, Mozelle Ryals Kelley, a sister-Ruth Kelley Sercer and a brother-D. B. Kelley.He was a member of the Rochelle United Methodist Church, the Wilcox County American Legion Post #71 and the Western Light Masonic Lodge #272 F&AM.He served his country with honor in the United States Army during World War II. Survivors include:2-sons-Ronald C. (Carol) Kelley of Marietta and Richard D. (Maria) Kelley of Woodbridge, Virginia and3-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM Sunday, July 18thin the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Rochelle United Methodist Church Building Fund in care of Mrs. Shelley Kelley, RUMC Treasurer, 932 American Legion Road, Abbeville, Ga. 31001. Frazier and Son Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
