Charles Russell Johnt

Charles Russell Johnt, age 80 of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on December 28, 2024 in Front Royal, Virginia.  A graveside service  will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Lebanon Church Cemetery.  Reverend Chuck Taylor will officiate.

Mr. Johnt was born on November 30, 1944 in Buffalo, New York.  He was son of the late Woodrow Wilson Johnt and Lorraine Martha Russell Johnt.   Retired Chief Petty Officer of US Navy, he served during the Vietnam War.  Then he was a Senior Network Engineer Fluor Daniels for the U. S. Government retiring from the US Army Corp of Engineers Middle East District in 2012.

Survivors include:  spouse-Mary Helen Spires Johnt, 2-daughters, Mrs. Kristin Payne (husband Chris Payne, Martinsburg, WV), Ms. Karen Johnt (Front Royal, VA).  His 3 grandchildren:  Shey Payne, Lilith Payne & Gemma Payne and a brother,  Dr. James Johnt, Gulf Shores, AL.  He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Vesper Spires, sister-in-law, Rochelle Killebrew and 2 brother-in-laws, Sylvester and Raymond Spires.

Frazier and Son Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
