Carolyn Faye Newell

Carolyn F. Newell, age 76 of Warner Robins, formerly of Abbeville, passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 in the Houston Medical Center.Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 16th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Visitation will be one hour before the service at 10:00 AM in the chapel. Reverend Jim Faircloth and Reverend Chuck Taylor will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Siloam Cemetery. Mrs. Newell was born on November 22, 1935 in Abbeville.She was daughter of the late Tom Robert Dowdy and Sallie Mae Tomberlin Dowdy.She was retired from Administration at the Oceola Nursing Home in Ocilla.She was a member of the Odom Grove Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Turner Newell and a sister, Sallie Gayle McBryde. Survivors include:Ernest Carol (Hala) White, Jr. of Peachtree City, Thomas Boyd of Kennesaw and Timothy James (Wendy) White of McDonough, daughter-Tara (Willie) Blanks of Warner Robins, sister-Tommie Eddlemen of McDonough, 5-grandchildren and 1-great-grandchild. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
