Bonnie J. Muffo

August 11, 1927 — April 11, 2024

Bonnie Jean Muffo passed away April 11, 2024 at Blackshear Villa at the age of 96.  She is preceded  in death by her husband, John.  Born in Quincy, Illinois, she was the daughter of Clarence V. Berblinger and Ruby Dietz.  She lived her life faithfully following John wherever the Pennsylvania Railroad sent he and the family.  She would say, "John would call her on a Friday and say "call the movers; we're moving Monday".  The railroad tracks in Cordele may be aggravating to some, but to her, she saw her pension.  Their retirement years were spent in Sebring, Florida where she was a proud choir member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic for over 35 years.  Bonnie had a long career as a hospital dietary supervisor in Ohio, Indiana and Florida. She made life-long friends wherever she lived and worked.  She was a loving, generous woman.  If someone complemented her on something she was wearing, she would take it off and hand it to them without thought.

Bonnie is survived by two children, John A. Muffo (Sue) and Rosemarie Muffo (Marvin Powell);  6 grandchildren, Michael Muffo, Christopher Muffo (Rebecca), Patrick Muffo (Jelena), Jeremy Irish (Jodi), Nathan Irish (Jenny) and Juliana Irish (Mathew); 10 grandchildren, Stella Muffo, Aleksandar Muffo, Natalie Muffo, Colin Irish, Madeline Irish, Max Irish, Eliana Irish, Felix Irish, Isaiah Reihing and Olivia Reihing.

The family wishes to thank Father Paulinus, Crisp Regional Hospice and Blackshear Villa's director and staff for their selfless, gentle and living care during her time of need.

Memorial services and burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, St. Claire County, Illinois at a future date.

Frazier and Son Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
