Bobbie Ruth Crenshaw Rountree, age 81 of 401 10th St. N., Pitts, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 in the Crossview Care Center.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 14th in the Pitts Baptist Church.Visitation will be one hour before the service at 2:00 PM in the church.Reverend Bill Kent and Reverend Justin McKinney will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Pitts Cemetery. Mrs. Rountree was born on March 16, 1932 in Pitts.She was daughter of the late Homer Crenshaw and Fannie Owens Crenshaw.She was a former City Clerk for Pitts, Ga., Secretary of Pargas Company in Rochelle and Substitute Teacher.She was a very devoted member of the Pitts Baptist Church and a very devoted mother and grandmother.She was preceded in death by five sisters and six brothers. Survivors include:sons-Donnie (Melissa) Rountree of Pitts and Glenn (Neysa) Rountree of Pitts, daughters-Kathy (Tommy) Conner of Pineview, Diane (Charles) Posey of Cordele and Vickie (Bobby) McKinney of Pitts, brother-Franklin Crenshaw of Conyers, 12-grandchilern, 17-great-grandchildren and 5-great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be:Donnie Rountree, Jr., Casey Rountree, Wesley Rountree, Michael Conner, Chip Posey, Jesse McKinney, Tony Owens and Scotty Owens. Prelude and Postlude will be played by Alex Clements.Reverend Justin McKinney will sing “Amazing Grace”. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
