Billy Joe Morrison

Billy Joe Morrison, age 86 of Rochelle, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 21st in the Rochelle United Methodist Church.Reverend Nancylee Cater will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery. Mr. Morrison was born on November 29, 1929 in Rochelle, Georgia.He was son of the late Mannie C. Morrison and Minnie Atchison Morrison.He was a member of the Rochelle United Methodist Church and the Wilcox American Legion Post #71.He was retired from Albany Marine Corps Logistics Center as a Maintenance Supervisor.He served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include:daughters-Francine Faircloth of Rochelle and Mimi (Lavelle) Sutton of Rochelle, 1-grandson-Mitch (Ashley) Faircloth of Rochelle and 2-great-grandchildlren-Peyton Faircloth and Hadlee Faircloth. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday, April 20th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Rochelle United Methodist Church Building Fund, P. O.
