Bill Rhodes

Bill Rhodes, age 67 of Rochelle, formerly of Abbeville, passed away Wednesday in the Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date in the Abbeville United Methodist Church.Interment will be in the Bay Springs Cemetery in Rhine. Bill was born on October 24, 1952 in Hawkinsville, Ga.He was son of the late William Joseph Rhodes and Agnes Yancey Rhodes.He was a member of Abbeville United Methodist Church and the Rockets and The Formation Five Bands.His passion was music.He was a retired Probation Officer with the State of Georgia.Bill was one of the first E. M. T.’S in Wilcox County working for Frazier & Son Funeral Home that provided ambulance service.In 1974 Wilcox County Ambulance Service was organized where Bill was an E. M. T. and Director.
