Betty Louise Mitchell

Betty G. Mitchell, age 68 of Rochelle, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010 in the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 2 in the Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church.Reverend Wayne Martin and Reverend Joel Owens will officiate.Interment will be in the Christian Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Mitchell was born on September 3, 1941 in Rochelle, Ga.She was daughter of the late Marlin Gordon and Abbey Iola Helms Gordon.She was a retired lunchroom worker at Wilcox Elementary and was a member of Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Mitchell. Survivors include: daughters-Lydia (Joel) Owens of Rochelle and Dottie (Craig) Sellars of Fitzgerald, brother-Marlin Gordon, Jr. of Rochelle, 3-grandchildren and 2-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday, June 1st in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
