Betty C. Dozier, age 81 of Abbeville, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 in the Medical Center Navicent Health.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 3rd in the Abbeville First Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour before the service from 10-11 AM in the church. Reverend Jay Moore and Reverend Tony Dixon will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Christian Home Cemetery. Mrs. Dozier was born on August 10, 1935 in Rochelle, Ga.She was daughter of the late Howard Clack and Irene Poss Clack.She was a homemaker and member of the Abbeville First Baptist Church.She was widow of the late Russell W. Dozier and was preceded in death by a grandson, Kent Dozier in 2006. Survivors include:sons-Russell (Vickie) Dozier, Jr. of Rochelle and William (Kathy) Dozier of Abbeville, daughter-Marisa (Kenneth) Lamb of Pineview, brothers-J. C. (Helen Ann) Clack of Lake Jackson, Wendel (Gloria) Clack of Albany, Jerry (Joy) Clack of Albany and Donnie (Ginny) Clack of Rochelle, sisters-Peggy Mangum of Dover, Florida, Janet (Charlie) Whittle of Columbus and Glenda (Claude) Selph of Tifton, 7-grandchildren, 15-great-grandchildren.
