Bessie Irene Terry, age 99of 2001 South Lee Street, Americus passed away Sunday April 24, 2016 in the Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 26, 2016 in the Pine City Baptist Church in Pitts. Rev. Doug Bridges will officiate.Visitation will be in the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the family plot in the Pine City Cemetery. Mrs. Terry was born April 7, 1917 in Pitts, Ga. She was widow of the late Odis L. Terry.She was daughter of the late John Lewis Gregory and Hurtha Musslewhite Gregory.She was a homemaker and member of the Pine City Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son Lamar Terry in 2000. Survivors include- son – Franklin Terry of Pitts, half-sister – Joann Bridges of Eatonton. Grandchildren, Tracy Terry, Sonia Harnage and Kathy Hall. 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
