Barbara S. Sexton

Barbara S. Sexton, age 84 of 1325 Mitchell Rd., Rochelle, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 in the Crossview Care Center.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 5th in the Dorchester Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel in Summerville, South Carolina.Reverend Wayne Martin will officiate. Mrs. Sexton was born on July 30, 1928 in Bath, Maine.She was the daughter of the late Roscoe A. Maines and Geneva Wilson Maines.She had lived in Rochelle for the past 4 years coming from Goose Creek, South Carolina.She was a retired Motel Housekeeping Supervisor.She was preceded in death by her husband, John U. Sexton, two sons-John Wayne Sexton and Ronnie Sexton. Survivors include: sons-Paul F. (Jan) Sexton of Dexter, Maine and Larry D. (Karen) Sexton of Summerville, South Carolina, daughters-Vickie R. (Jerry) Hitchcock of Woodbine, Ga. and Paula L. (Wayne) Martin of Rochelle,12-grandchildren, 21-great-grandchildren and 4-great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday, July 3rd in the funeral home. Music selections “Beulahland” and “Serenaded By Angels”will be sung by Cathy McMillan and Wayne Martin. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Alzheimer’s Association or Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Building Fund. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
