Azilee B. Whittle, age 80 of 201 Willow Rd., Rochelle, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013 at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesdasy, April 9th in the New Providence Primitive Baptist Church.Elder Tommy Roundtree and Elder Dwight Marshall will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the New Providence Cemetery. Mrs. Whittle was born on November 1, 1932 in Rebecca, Ga.She was daughter of the late Thomas Barker and Sally Carmichael Barker.She was married to the late Thomas Milton Whittle on June 10, 1949.She resided as a farmer’s wife on the Whittle farm in Wilcox County for 61 years before his death.She continued to live there until her death Sunday morning, April 7, 2013.She was a homemaker and member of the New Providence Primitive Baptist Church. Her survivors include:son-Thomas (Tommy) (Deenia) Whittle, Jr. of Thomaston/Rebecca, and a daughter-Pam Whittle (James) Willoughby of Rochelle.Grandchildren-Mandi (Jason) Cole, Scarlett (Lance) Alberson, Joy (Josh) Pate, Tamzy Whittle, Gregory L. Mattson, Jr. and Amber (Grant Crowden-Fiance) Mattson.Great-Grandchildren-Brady and Katie Alberson, Laina Lee and Lauryn Pate and Shelby and Ben Cole.A sister-Janie Raines of Fayetteville and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday, April 8th in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
