Ava Barrett Mckie

Ava Barrett McKie, age 95, formerly of Abbeville, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, in the Northside Hospital, Lawrenceville, Georgia.  She was a retired R.N. with the Abbeville Nursing Home, and a member of the Abbeville First Baptist Church.

Ava was born December 24, 1928, in Abbeville, to the late Herbert Lee Barrett and Annie Kate McClung.  She is survived by her sons, Kirk William Keene (Peggy), and Douglas Bryant Keene (Sheila); 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 10th, at 10:00 a.m. in Siloam Baptist Church, with Rev. Brian Jones officiating.  Interment will be in the Siloam Cemetery.  Visitation with lunch will follow the services in the church social hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Abbeville First Baptist Church.
