Arnold Crawford, Jr.

Hollis Arnold Crawford, Jr., age 84 of Rochelle, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011 in the Osceola Healthcare in Ocilla.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 17 in the Christian Home Baptist Church. Reverend Royce Freeman and Reverend David Clark will officiate. Interment will be in the family plot in the Christian Home Cemetery. Mr. Crawford was born on April 20, 1927 in Rebecca, Ga.He was son of the late Hollis Arnold Crawford and Polly Stallings Crawford.He was a self-employed retired farmer.He was a member and deacon of the Christian Home Baptist Church and the Wilcox County Farm Bureau.He was an avid fox hunter.He served his country with honor in the United States Army and the Merchant Marines. Survivors include:wife-Carol Crawford of Rochelle, sons-Steven (Karen) Crawford of Rochelle and Jimmy (Jan) Crawford of Rochelle, daughters-Deborah (Paul) Baldwin of Marietta and Lynn Crawford of Petal, Mississippi, 2-grandsons, 2-granddaughters and 1-great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturay, July 16 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Baptist Children’s home or the Georgia Sheriff’s Boys Ranch. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
