Arita M. Carter, age 87 of Pitts, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 in the Crisp Regional Hospital.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 14th in the Union Cemetery.Visitation will be after the service at the graveside.Reverend Larry Wilbanks will officiate. Mrs. Carter was born on January 22, 1931 in Pitts, Ga.She was daughter of the late James Noel McKinley and Pearlie Faircloth McKinley.She was a retired Secretary with the Republican Party.She was a member of the Union Baptist Church. Survivors include:husband-Robert Carter of Pitts, sons-Michael Carter of Gainesville, Florida, Phillip Carter of Pitts, Paul Carter of Brunswick and Doug (Denise) Carter of Pitts, sister-Thelma Hinson of Augusta, 10-grandchildren and 5-great-grandchildren.
