A. J. Parks, age 73 of Abbeville, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at his residence.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 12th in the MorningsideCemetery.Reverend Danny Allen and Reverend Chuck Taylor will officiate.Interment will be in the Morningside Cemetery. Mr. Parks was born on June 18, 1945 in Abbeville.He was son of the late Early Ray Parks and Cora Ann Pierce Parks.He was a retired truck driver from Martin Gas Co.and was of the Baptist Faith.He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Abbigail McDuffie in 2014. Survivors include:son-Donald Crawford of Hawkinsville, daughters-Sheila (David) Warren of Rochelle, Melissa Newell of Abbeville, Amy (Ronnie) Ledford of Hawkinsville and Tracey (Kerry) Knowles of China Hill, sister-Vera Mann of Abbeville, friend-Donna Ware of Abbeville, 7-grandchildren and 4-great-grandchildren.
